Here are some common questions about Enrollment.

Yes. If you are currently enrolled in Flexible Benefits, your coverage and that of your dependents(s) will terminate on December 31, 2019.  To continue your participation you must re-enroll in flexible benefits during this enrollment period.

Enrollment for healthcare coverage will occur once successful negotiations with the Unions have been finalized. You will receive an enrollment notification at that time. If you and your eligible dependent(s) are currently enrolled in a Cigna healthcare plan, your coverage will automatically roll over to the 2020 plan year.

The cost of these benefits will NOT be deducted from your paycheck.

A new employee is defined as an employee without active benefits. If you are a Part-time employee with a pay code of B, E, F, or L, you are eligible to participate. 

Benefits will be effective the first of the following month.

 To enroll in any of the flexible benefits, effective January 1, 2020, you must request a flexible benefits enrollment form. Mail your completed enrollment form, with your first month premium, payable to FBMC to:

NOTE: There is no Board contribution towards the employee’s nor the dependent's coverage. Part-Time employees are responsible for the full, monthly cost of the Board-approved healthcare plan.

Yes, except if you are represented by the AFSCME labor union.  AFSCME employees CAN NOT enroll in this benefit.
